Cave man painted moving animals on the cave walls. Jesus passed on his knowledge in stories. Today, one of the most powerful mediums you can use to share your story, or at a higher level, it can become a form of initiation and what reaches most people is the image or moving image.
Just as the illusion of an interlocking series of images of our thoughts shapes the world through our own perspective, we can experience a whole other horizon, other possibilities, through film. We can see and experience realities that would be impossible to experience in our own lives.
In our present world, the noble responsibility to use this psycho-magic to expand our consciousness and to inspire us on a path of true self-knowledge has faded.
"Go down to the basement and bring your journal up to the attic,
where the sun's rays shine through the tiny window to shelter ignorance."
The translation of this short sentence into film offers endless possibilities. It can be a memory, a metaphor, a visual poem, or a dream... if we base the how and why of making a film on a conscious intention that serves divine law, rather than on the rummaging of the unconscious, we are talking about objective art.
The purpose of this workshop is to keep this noble gesture alive.
In this course, we will learn how a story, a feeling, a state of being is transferred from our being to the canvas.
In addition to the study of cinematography, the course will also focus on practical skills required for filmmaking, such as:
Lighting
Camera techniques
Cinematography
Camera angles
Rhythm
Cut
Contrasts
Storytelling
Emotional wisdom
Creativity
